BioHi there. I'm Miranda, as you may have sussed out by the username.
I'm a single mama living with my two awesome kids (Zoe & Bodhi) in an extended-family environment in southern Oregon. I'm a creative type, with fingers in many different pies. In early 2009, I self-published a horror novel, In the Blood; you can read all about it and find out how to order a copy here. I attended AIC @ San Francisco in 1999 to study fashion design, and since that time I have made custom ladies' and children's Gothic clothing, first under the name October Designs and presently as Miranda & Zoe. I sell my off the rack selections in local stores and on Etsy. Since the birth of my daughter eighteen months ago, I've been intensely interested in staging a revolution against unnecessary hospital intervention and the medicalization of birth. I am now trying to save up money to enter midwifery school after my son is born and help by being a positive and holistic support to other low-income pregnant women.
I'm a quirky sort of personality. I'm outspoken but tender-hearted. I'm a feminist, a raised by wolves/hippies back to nature, holistic, natural foods, vegetarian sort. There are also some issues that I am unapologetically conservative about. I'm a spiritual person, but the last thing I will do is make you listen to things that contradict your own beliefs; my religious views and babbling are always cut-tagged. My kids and I are likethis and I talk about them constantly; if you're vehemenantly childfree, I will probably annoy the hell out of you.
